CRUZ BAY — Despite noticeable and commendable efforts to spruce up the Julius E. Sprauve School buildings for the 2014-15 school year and keep the facilities in very good condition through the school year, signs of the age of the complex are showing once again. This crumbling facade on the Winston Wells Ball Field side of the JESS “cafetorium” was visible during the preliminary events of the 2015 St. John Festival to remind St. Johnians of the moribund community effort for a new island public educational facility.
