Federal Transit Administration Proposes Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goals

The Department of Public Works (DPW) has published the proposed overall goals for its Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for the Fiscal Years 2018 through 2021.

The proposed overall goal is 23.7 percent for all FTA funded projects for the years 2018 through 2021. The methodology used in developing this goal is available for inspection during normal business hours until Dec. 17 at the following locations:
Department of Public Works Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
DBE Office, 8244 Sub Base, St. Thomas
DBE Office, 6002 Estate Anna’s Hope, St. Croix
DPW will receive and consider public comments on the proposed goal until Dec. 17. Comments may be submitted to the department at either of the above addresses.

Additionally, the methodology will be available for review at an Open House between 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, on St. Thomas and on Monday, Nov. 5, on St. Croix at the above-mentioned locations.
