Chef Walter Hinds, formerly of Stone Terrace, confirmed the news of opening his own restaurant in the former Tage location in a brief interview with St. John Tradewinds Publisher MaLinda Nelson. The new restaurant will feature "contempory Mediterranean" fare with good wines. Opening later this month, Walter has plans for a "soft opening" for June and July but will close temporary for off-season in August and September and re-open in October.
After an utilities upgrade with the Water and Power Authority, Walter explained that he'll be closely watching the power bill as the chef/owner.
