ST. JOHN, Virgin Islands (August 3, 2016) – St. John businesses will likely start having a fresh look thanks to recently launched Zest Studio, a boutique graphic design and marketing company that recently opened on St. John.
Zest Studio is the creative culmination of Cynthia Swan and Rebecca Reinbold. Swan, born and raised on St. John, attended Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. She has worked at a number of design agencies as well as working as a freelance graphic designer before moving back to St. John this year. Reinbold, who also grew up on St. John, attended American University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with a Minor in Graphic Design. She owned a public relations firm in Los Angeles for 7 years, before moving back to St. John nearly 3 years ago, continuing to consult on marketing and public relations for brands in Los Angeles and New York. The two bring a stateside design mentality and professionalism to St. John, while understanding the inner-workings, challenges and atmosphere of St. John business.
“St. John continues to be a sought-after tourist destination and the number of successful local businesses continues to increase,” says Reinbold. “Our visitors are savvy. Fresh and contemporary logos, user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing websites, bold, eye-catching branding and strategic marketing are increasingly more important to stand out to potential customers and establish a successful business. Similarly, local business owners are recognizing that St. John has evolved and they must too.”
Zest Studio specializes in helping businesses find their identity and establish their brand through visual identity, creative print and web design. Services include full brand identity packaging, logos, flyers, letterhead, product packaging, websites, brochures, menus, rack cards, business cards, promotional materials, advertisements, newsletters and more. Services go beyond creation of graphic elements to include marketing, helping businesses to grasp the “how” and “why” of branding and brand building.
“First impressions are everything. The initial impact made on a tourist or local will determine their preferences and set the tone for their interactions,” says Swan. “Enticing branding and materials present a business to the world. There are so many incredible businesses here on island and helping St. John entrepreneurs tell their story and grow really excites us!”
