The Virgin Islands Workforce Development Board (VISWDB) has drafted a new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Unified State Plan. The plan requires governors to submit four-year plans for the state’s workforce development strategy. The unified plan is designed to help job seekers access education, training, support and employment in good paying jobs. It will match in-demand jobs to employers who need skilled workers.
The plan is posted online and available for public comment via email or mail through May 27. To review the plan and comment on it, visit www.viwib.org.
