Florence Leonora Maynard Dies at 80

Florence Leonora Maynard

Florence Leonora Maynard, also known as “Sis,” “Aunty Nora,” or “Mother,” died on Saturday, May 20, at Marley Neck Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Maryland. She was 80 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Pearlette LeBlanc, Pearla Maynard-Alston and Suean Maynard; grandchildren: Shawn Mason, Craig Wells Jr., Devonte and Javan Graham, and Giovanna Alston; step-grandchildren: Greg and Alex Alston; six great step-grandchildren; and sons-in-law: Barry LeBlanc, Greg Alston and Pedro Graham.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Myrtle Tobias, Helen Potter, Clifford Powell, Emile Elliott, Melvin B, and Greg; great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; special friends: Delarie Lewis-Thomas, Jeanne Thomas, Jeneter Kelly, Pat Sage, Tina, the Cuffy, James and Ralph families, and the staff at Marley Neck Health & Rehabilitation Center; as well as many family, friends and other relatives too numerous to mention.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Kingdom Manna Life Ministries. 14C Peter’s Rest, Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI.
