UVI to Host General Election Political Forums for Candidates Oct. 15 – 18

University of the Virgin Islands

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) will conduct General Election Forums for senatorial and gubernatorial candidates Oct. 15 and 16 on St. Thomas as well as Oct. 17 and 18 on St. Croix. The forums will be held in the Administration and Conference Center (ACC), first floor, Room 142 and in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus. All forums will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

Dannica Thomas, director of the UVI’s Institute for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (ILOE), is extending an invitation to the university community and the general public, who are encouraged to attend. Anyone who would like to ask a question, must submit it in advance to iloe@uvi.edu.

The senatorial and gubernatorial forums are designed to provide candidates and the constituents they hope to serve with the opportunity to come together to hear, learn and understand each other.

Thomas said, “This is the very first time a certification of this kind is being offered at the University of the Virgin Islands and also in the territory. This is an opportunity for new and experienced professionals and consultants to be a step ahead of the rest.”
