Due to the announcement from Gov. Albert Bryan, Jr. on the closure of USVI government offices territory-wide at noon today, Sept. 23, in anticipation of the impending impact of Tropical Storm Karen, the USVIEDA offices in the districts of St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix will also be closed at noon, according to a press release issued Monday by Kamal I. Latham, chief executive officer of the U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (USVIEDA).
As the U.S. Virgin Islands is placed under a tropical storm or hurricane watch, the USVIEDA’s designated team for disaster preparedness activates the Authority’s plan to secure its offices and contents, and industrial parks in both districts.
