(Proposed by senators Stedmann Hodge Jr. and Oakland Benta; co-sponsors: Steven D. Payne, Sr., Novelle E. Francis Jr. and Javan E. James Sr.)

Bill No. 33-0017 – An Act amending Title 20, part II, chapter 42, of the Virgin Islands Code, requiring that the Virgin Islands Traffic Bureau install surveillance cameras on all traffic signals in the territory. (Proposed by Senator Novelle E. Francis Jr.; co-sponsors: Sen. Allison L. DeGazon and Sen. Steven D. Payne Sr.)

Bill No. 33-0257 – An Act amending Title 9, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 15, section 233, by increasing the monetary penalty for violating a provision of the chapter. (Proposed by Sen. Steven D. Payne Sr.)

Update on the status of the Virgin Islands Veterans Transportation Emergency Fund.

The committee will receive an update from the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections as it pertains to the high number of resignations, terminations in major leadership roles and the safety of the agency. The committee will further require an update on the Bureau of Corrections Federal Consent Decree.
