The Captain Vic car ferry is out of service until further notice. The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) received a notice today stating that The Captain Vic will be offline for mechanical repairs. No date was provided to indicate when the repairs would be completed.
VIPA advises the public that there will only be one barge operating the Cruz Bay/Red Hook route while The Captain Vic is offline. Global Marine LLC will run its normal schedule using its barge The General II. Extended wait times are expected, and VIPA thanks the public in advance for their patience and cooperation with the barge ramp employees and security staff.
