There will be a march on Wednesday, Sept. 11, to honor first responders on St. John and to remember all emergency personnel who responded to the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001. The march will begin at 9:49 a.m. at Cruz Bay Fire Station with a bell sounding to commemorate the first tower being struck.

All participants should meet at the fire station at 9:30 a.m. They should be attired in their agencies’ uniform. One person from St. John Rescue will be asked to speak for three to five minutes to explain the history and role of St. John Rescue.

The route will begin at the fire station, turn left at the circle, turn right at Lutheran Church, turn left at post office and end at the gazebo in Powell Park.

First responders will be the grand marshals. At 10:28 a.m., a bell will be sounded to commemorate the second tower being struck.
