St. John School of the Arts Presents Broadway Rescue!

Kim Wild, Executive Director for the St. John School of the Arts, and the school’s board invite the St. John community and visitors to this year’s SJSA annual fundraiser. Unable to host its normal annual fundraiser “Broadway Comes to St. John” this year, the school is still hosting a night of music and dancing, dubbed “Broadway Rescue!”

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 14, from 6 to 8 pm at the St. School of the Arts for an exciting night of singing and dancing for a great cause – arts education on St. John.

The school will look back at previous Broadway productions, and showcase the talents of faculty and students. The evening will include passed and seated appetizers, a cash bar and a ton of fun.

Tickets are $50 each. They can be purchased online at StJohnSchooloftheArts.org, by calling 340-779-4322 or by stopping by the school in Cruz Bay.

The hotly anticipated St. John Goes to Broadway Raffle drawing is back again this year. Buy a $100 ticket for your chance to win round-trip airfare for two to New York City, two tickets to a Broadway show, dinner for two and three nights stay at a fabulous Manhattan hotel. The raffle winner will be drawn on April 14. You do not have to be present to win.

The School to School Rescue! fundraiser in New York City last Fall (read more on that event here) allowed the school to reopen with free classes resulting in 75 kids taking 60 classes a week this year. However, more funds are needed to continue providing free classes for next year. St. John School of the Arts’ goal is to raise at least $100,000 to continue the 2018-19 year until the school can resume normal operations.

Support the arts on St. John and help St. John School of the Arts continue to offer music, dance, theater, language arts and visual arts classes to the island’s children.
