St. John Rescue Unveils New Emergency Response Vehicle

Rescue 3, above, is a Ford Expedition equipped with the latest in communications equipment.

St. John Rescue members un-veiled their new emergency response vehicle Rescue Three at the Franklin Powell Sr. Park on Saturday, November 18.

The new quick response vehicle, a Ford Expedition, is equipped with the latest in communications equipment, emergency lights and four-wheel drive. Rescue members are able to transport patients in the vehicle, which was purchased with funds from the V.I. Government.

Rescue Three complements the group’s other emergency response vehicles Rescue One and Rescue Two.
Rescue Two will be stationed in Coral Bay, Rescue One will be stationed in Cruz Bay and Rescue Three will be a mobile rescue vehicle, in service at any time.
