St. John Festival 2017 Events Continue

This year’s Festival’s food sale and Pan-O-Rama have already passed, but there are plenty more events to look forward to on St. John. Events scheduled for the rest of Festival are:

Saturday, June 17, the Festival bike race will start at 8 a.m. from the National Park parking lot.

Sunday, June 18, the Festival Princess 2017 Pageant will start at 6 p.m. at Winston W. Wells Ball Field.

Saturday, June 24, the Festival Queen 2017 Pageant will start at 8 p.m. at Winston W. Wells Ball Field.

Sunday, June 25, Festival Food Fair & Coronation 2017 will start at 1 p.m. in the Franklin A. Powell, Sr. Park. This year’s Festival Food Fair Honoree is Karen L. Samuel. Also, happening on Sunday, June 25 are the Festival Boat Races 2017 at 3 p.m. in Cruz Bay Harbor.

Wednesday, June 28, the Festival Village 2017 Grand Opening will start at 7 p.m. in the Cruz Bay Customs Parking Lot. The village is named “O’Connorville” in honor of the Festival Village honoree former Senator Robert O’Connor, Jr.

Friday, June 30, the Festival Children’s Village 2017 will open at 6 p.m. at the National Park Ball Field.

Sunday, July 2, the Festival Poker Run 2017 will start at 12 p.m. from the Cruz Bay Beachfront. The Festival Horse Races 2017 will start at 1 p.m. at the Clinton E. Phipps Race Track on St. Thomas.

Monday, July 3, Emancipation Day, the Festival Emancipation Program 2017 will start at 1 p.m. in O’Connorville Festival Village.

Tuesday, July 4, Festival J’ouvert 2017 will start at 4 a.m. in Cruz Bay. The Festival Parade 2017 will start at 11 a.m. from the National Park Visitor’s Center. This years Festival Parade Grand Marshal is Cooper Penn. The Festival Fireworks Display will start at 9 p.m. in the Cruz Bay Harbor.

Don’t forget about the musical line up at O’Connorville starting on Wednesday, June 28 with the Ish Ban, Cool Sessions Brass and Onyan. The next night, June 29, will feature CMK, Extreme, and Stylee. On Friday, June 30, Express Band, Alison Hinds and BDJ – Daddy Jones will be playing. Ricky – T, Spectrum Band and Poizon will perform Saturday, July 1. On Sunday, July 2, T-Vice, Small Axe and Triple Kay will perform. Vibes, Romaine Vigo, Rocky City and Asa Banton are scheduled. The final performances will be Tuesday, July 4 with Ah We Band, Cool Sessions Brass, MX Prime and Destra.
