Director Dr. Renee Charleswell of the V.I. Department of Education’s State Office of Special Education (SOSE) informs the public that copies of the Division’s Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2019 IDEA Part B Federal Grant Application are available for public review in both school districts over the next 60 days.
Copies of the grant application containing a tentative state budget can be obtained from the state and district offices of special education, the superintendent of schools, the Office of the Commissioner of Education in both districts, the University of the Virgin Islands campuses, the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library on St. Thomas or the Florence Williams Public Library in Christiansted, St. Croix. A copy can also be found at the DOE’s website at www.vide.vi under “Our Divisions, Special Education.”
Comments will be accepted up to 30 days after the close of the public review period and may be submitted to the SOSE director via email at renee.charleswell@vide.vi or submitted to the office from April 10 to May 10.
