Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach Esq. informs Virgin Islands residents that they will have until Tuesday, Oct. 15, to pay their property tax bills without charges for delinquency or other fees.

“The 60-day deadline for property tax payments falls on Monday, Oct. 14, which is recognized and celebrated as Virgin Islands/Puerto Rico Friendship Day. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor will accommodate residents by accepting payments on Tuesday, Oct. 15, due to the scheduled holiday,” said Roach.

The lieutenant governor further cautions residents that properties for which there are delinquencies will become eligible for the collection and auction process. Delinquencies prior to 2019 will also be eligible for the collection and auction process.

Property tax bills can be paid online at https://propertytax.vi.gov. The invoice number and control number, which can be found on the tax bill, are required for online payment. Payments can also be made in person on all three islands.

Property owners who are delinquent in paying their taxes are encouraged to contact the Office of the Tax Collector to make arrangements for a payment plan option. Payment plans may be arranged by visiting the Office of the Tax Collector on St. Croix at the Leroy Quinn Finance Building or on St. Thomas in Suite 2, Nisky Center.

For additional information or questions regarding property tax delinquencies, contact the Office of the Tax Collector on St. Thomas and St. John at 774-2991 and on St. Croix at 773-6449.
