K’asia O’Bryan and Brandon Julian are the new princess and prince of the Crucian Christmas Festival 2018-2019.

The youngsters presented themselves to an enthusiastic, packed house at the St. Croix Educational complex Sunday.

The theme of the pageant was, celebrating our “Legacy of Fire and Queens,” honoring the women and men who lead the 1878 St. Croix labor revolt. Takiyah Antoine is the pageant coordinator.

K’asia wowed the crowd with poise, style, talent and composure. The 10-year-old St. Croix Christian Academy student swept all the judging categories, capturing the titles of Miss Popularity, Miss Photogenic, Miss Intellect, and best cultural glitz evening wear.

Also giving her best on stage was 12-year-old Raynia Gaston, the only other contestant vying the princess crown. She was awarded the first runner-up position. Raynia attends the Elena Christian Junior High School.
