A very light south to southeast wind flow will prevail across the local area today. While some afternoon showers are possible, significant rainfall is not expected. Daytime highs will reach the upper 80s to low 90s. A tropical wave will bring an increased potential for shower activity on Saturday and Sunday.

Tranquil marine conditions are forecast with seas to four feet and gentle to moderate southeast to east winds between 5-15 knots (7-18 miles per hour). The distant major Hurricane Lorenzo is forecast to bring an easterly swell across the local Atlantic waters by Saturday, resulting in choppy six foot seas. There is a low
risk of rip currents for all Virgin Islands beaches today.
