A cold front moved through the Virgin Islands last night and into the early morning hours of today bringing showers to the local area. Most of the showers have dissipated, but with the front not far away, scattered showers with mostly cloudy skies are expected today. High temperatures will reach the low to middle 80s with light and variable winds.
Seas will increase to eight feet today and tonight before subsiding on Saturday. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect, and there is a high risk of rip currents along the northwest coast of St. Thomas.
