Mongoose Junction to Hold Its First ‘First Friday’ on March 1

“First Friday” will start at 6 p.m., Friday, March 1, at Mongoose Junction. Fueled by elegant shopping experiences, diverse culinary options, live music and engaging art, the Mongoose Junction community on St. John will offer residents and visitors alike a stimulating experience. The evening will feature live music and Bamboula dancing by the Macislyn Bamboula Dance Company Inc.

Some of the First Friday offerings on Friday, March 1, will include:

Caravan Gallery will be offering free sterling silver petroglyph charms for anyone who spends more than $40 during First Friday. Caravan Gallery will be open until 8 p.m.

Bajo El Sol Gallery continues to celebrate its new space with an exhibition of works from four artists residing across the Virgin Islands. The show features art work by Janet Cook-Rutnik, Ensor Colon, Luca Gasperi and Jessica Rosenberg. You’ll also find surprise performances and delectable treats from 6 to 9 p.m.

Sun Dog Café will be featuring the duo Charlie & Bo, playing some New Orleans inspired dinner music from 6 to 9 p.m.

In addition, over 25 Mongoose Junction merchants will have unique offerings and specials.

Mongoose Junction’s first “First Friday” event promises to be a fun and art-filled evening.
