Minor Traces of Rainfall Possible

One or two passing trade wind showers could move over portions of the territory today, leaving minor traces of rainfall. Daytime highs are expected in the upper 80s to 90. The potential for shower activity increases later tonight into Monday, as the remnants of an old cold front moves across the region.

A northeast swell will gradually increase seas across the Atlantic waters and passages today. Small craft advisories will be in effect for a few days as seas reach the eight foot level. There is a high risk of rip currents for the northern coastlines of St. Thomas and St. Croix. By late tonight, large breaking waves will be evident. They can cause life-threatening rip currents, and dangerous surf conditions.
