Michael Alan McKetney, Coral Bay resident, Passes

Michael Alan McKetney, a resident of Coral Bay, St. John, USVI, passed away in the presence of his family Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born October 13, 1947 in the Bronx, New York City to Carmel Della McKetney and Edwin Charles McKetney Jr. After growing up in Queens, New York and graduating from City College of New York, Michael moved to St. John, USVI, where he resided until shortly before his death. Michael retired from the St. John, VI Fire Department after 25 years of service as a “firemun,” and also ran a contracting business.
He is survived by: his mother, Carmel McKetney; his three children, Michael Lee McKetney, Westra Bea McKetney Miller (Nathan Fenstermacher), and Hanlon McKetney Miller; his granddaughter Micah;  his wife Selwyna McKetney of St. Lucia;  Westra and Hanlon’s mother Cheryl Miller; sisters, brothers, and many loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Michael will be remembered for his joie de vivre, his wry sense of humor, his open and generous ways, and his sometimes incorrigible nature!
