Lingering low-level moisture associated with the tropical wave that passed the local area on Thursday will persist today. This moisture may contribute to the development of one or two light showers from time to time.
Seas are forecast to five feet across the local waters and to six feet across the Atlantic waters where small craft operators are advised to exercise caution. The risk of rip currents will be moderate across most beaches on St. Croix, and some beaches on St. Thomas.
