Long-planned renovations to the historic Elaine I. Sprauve LIbrary began this week. With the sounds of hammering in the air, a large pile of cinder blocks is visible on the front steps. Government contractor Custom Builders will be upgrading the electrical system; replacing windows, doors and shutters; installing air conditioning; painting and landscaping at the library, which dates to 1750.
