James Ginther, 40 years old, passed away on Friday, February 1, on St. John. The island will deeply miss this loving, friendly, cheery soul.
Jim is survived by his loving wife and best friend for over 20 years, Tina Petitto; son, Brandon Ginther and daughter, nine-year-old Maia Ginther; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ginther; brother, Dan Ginther; sister, Linda Gann; and many other relatives and friends.
Jim and Tina met, fell in love, and later married on St. John. After moving to North Carolina for some years, they decided to return to raise their daughter on Jim’s favorite place on Earth
In memory of Jim, friends and family have established the Maia Ginther scholarship fund. Donations can be dropped off at the Gifft Hill School office or Hurricane Alley store at Mongoose Junction.
