An increase in showers activity across the local area is forecast through the afternoon hours. Showers that due develop could produce moderate to heavy rainfall. By late in the day, the increased moisture levels will diminish as Saharan dust works its way into the region and holds through early next week. High temperatures will reach into the middle 80s with a prevailing east to southeast wind of 15-30 miles per hour with higher gusts.
Small craft operators should exercise caution across the Caribbean waters and passages due to six foot seas and winds to 20 knots (23 miles per hour). Elsewhere, seas will range between three and five feet with easterly winds of 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour).
