Halloween Fun for All Ages

Mongoose Junction was overrun by witches, ghouls, zombies, princesses and even a dinosaur on Tuesday afternoon, October 31, for the annual St. John Halloween trick-or-treat party.

Children of all ages, many decked out in face paint and elaborate costumes, went from shop to shop at Mongoose collecting bags of candy from  generous merchants.

“This is a great thing for the kids to do, since there really aren’t any neighborhoods to go trick-or-treating door-to-door like in the states,” said Lori Walden, whose son, Thomas, was a scary grim reaper.

The kids seemed to be enjoying themselves, counting their loot and trading each other for their favorite kinds of sweets.

By nightfall, the adults took center stage at Skinny Legs in Coral Bay, where Minnie Mouse and a couple of prom queens even got into the mix. The Beach Bar and Morgan’s Mango were packed with Halloween revelers as well.
