Governor to Host St. John Town Hall Scheduled for May 15

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp invited and encourages St. John residents to share their ideas and concerns and hear from local officials about the recovery efforts and other matters affecting the island at a Town Hall meeting scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, at the St. John Legislative Annex in the Cleone Henrietta Creque Conference Room.

The governor will be accompanied by representatives from the V.I. Police Department, Education, Human Services, Public Works, Health and Agriculture. The V.I. Waste Management Authority will also be in attendance to provide updates and answer questions. Topics to be discussed include modular classrooms, road projects, emergency medical services, debris and hurricane preparedness.

“As the territory undertakes massive rebuilding, it is critical that St. Johnians remain a part of the conversation,” Mapp said. “We have many major initiatives underway, and on the horizon, I look forward to a very productive discussion.”
