GOVERNOR’S SUMMER READING CHALLENEGE PARTICPANTS ARE REMINDED OF DEADLINE TO SUBMIT TRACKING SHEETS

Students of the Virgin Islands who participated in the Governor’s Sumer Reading Challenge during the summer months are reminded that the deadline to submit the tracking sheets is Tuesday, September 9.

Coordinator of the Summer Reading Challenge Armecia Martin noted this weekend that while the challenge has ended and students have returned to school for the new school year, the deadline to submit the tracking sheets has been extended to Tuesday. “This will give the students an opportunity to record the books they have read, complete the tracking sheets and submit them.”

The tracking sheets can be dropped off to the Office of the Governor on both islands, the public libraries, and to their perspective school office. They can also fax the completed sheets to 340-693-4374.

The winners will be announced at a fun day on the following dates:  St. Thomas, September 27 from 1 to 4 p.m.; St. John, September 28 from 2 to 5 p.m.; and St. Croix, October 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.
