While the V.I. National Park’s beaches have been opened for weeks, the rest of the National Park Service’s staff got back to work last week as the federal government shutdown ended after a tense 16 days. The VINP Visitors’ Center was back open and crews were seen cutting bush that had grown along the roadsides in the park during the federal closures.
