Overall, fair weather conditions are expected today with isolated and brief showers. Hazy conditions due to Saharan dust are likely but will gradually diminish during the next couple of days. A tropical wave is forecast to move across the Caribbean waters during the weekend, but the moisture associated with the wave should remain south of the local area.

Across the local waters, five foot seas are anticipated today with winds to 15 knots (17 miles per hour). There is a moderate risk of rip currents for some of the beaches along the northern and eastern coastlines of St. Croix.
