‘Evita’ to Open on Feb. 15 at Pistarckle Theater

Pistarckle will present the musical “Evita,” which will begin on Friday, Feb. 15, and will run through March 2. There is a popular Pay-As-You-Can-Night a final-rehearsal performance — on Thursday, Feb. 14. All evening performances of “Evita” are scheduled for 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. The lobby and concession stand open one hour before the start of each performance.

“Evita” is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics and book by Tim Rice. It focuses on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentina’s President Juan Perón. The story follows Evita’s early life, rise to power, charity work and eventual death. The cast features Gail DeHaas as Eva Peron, Eddie Kusar as Che, Gary Dennis as Juan Peron, Ryan Firment as Magaldi and Shary Cruz as Mistress.

Vocal/dance ensemble and various roles include Samantha Dennis, Sara Grace Dennis, Sharon Dennis, Jess DiFrancesco, Caroline Emch-Wei, Matthew Enright, Amber Heasley, Paula Hodge, Bryan Mason, Marizela (Mimi deSada) Moya, Erin Opitz and Sarah Williams.
