March 12: St. John Historical Society Meeting

Tuesday, March 12, 7 PM at Bajo El Sol Gallery, SJHS board member Michael Sheen will talk about the history of stereoviews and how they work. Mike will also have a hands-on interactive presentation with 350 to 400 copies of views from 1860 to 1910 with 10-12 viewers to give as many people as possible the ability to sit down and enjoy them.

Mike and his wife have been collecting these images for about 15 years and are members of the National Stereoptic Association. Mike is also on the board of the Game Fishing Club and the St. Thomas Historical Trust.

Bajo El Sol, the newly opened art gallery owned by David and Priscilla Knight, will have an array of Italian pastries and other goodies, as well as coffees and drinks for sale.
