Education to Host Town Hall; Mapp to Address School Construction

The Department of Education (DOE) invites the public to attend a Town Hall hosted by Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp set for 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, at Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS) auditorium where he will address construction plans for the territory’s public schools.

Mapp will provide an update on new school construction in both the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John districts, with particular focus on the rebuilding of CAHS. Additionally, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) rules and regulations that govern permanent school repairs and other pertinent topics will be highlighted.

DOE encourages parents of students enrolled at CAHS and interested community members to attend.
