The Legislature of the Virgin Islands will begin restoration of the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall on St. Thomas from Monday, Nov. 5 to Wednesday, Dec. 5. Throughout this period, public access to the chambers will be restricted due to safety measures.

The Capitol Building was adversely impacted by hurricanes Irma and Maria. The grounds received damages as well as the exterior and interior of the building. In the wake of the hurricanes, restoration efforts have been ongoing throughout the year; however, the administration of the Legislature is now poised to begin restoration of the chambers.

Legislative meetings and hearings will be temporarily relocated to the Cleone H. Creque Conference Room on St. John. All meetings are open to the public.

Senate meetings will continue to be broadcast via Viya Cable Channel 26, WVSE 91.9 FM, www.facebook.com/USVILegislature and on www.livestream.com/legittv.
