The V.I. Department of Education, St. Thomas-St. John District invites the public to its annual Social Studies Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 15, in Emancipation Garden.

The fair, themed “Change through Time,” centers its attention on the history and culture of the Virgin Islands and abroad from 1920 – 2019. Students’ work will be on display, and they will showcase their knowledge in the form of skits, poems or other forms of performance art.

“This event encourages students to think critically as they re-enact various events throughout history,” said St. Thomas-St. John District Social Studies Coordinator Annie Smith.

Participating schools include Addelita Cancryn Jr. High School, Leonard Dober Elementary School, Yvonne Milliner-Bowsky Elementary School, Charlotte Amalie High School, Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, Jane E. Tuitt Primary School, Joseph Sibilly Elementary School and Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School.
