Clifford Alexander Christian of Estate Two Brothers, Frederiksted, St. Croix, died at the age of 79. He was also known as “Cliffco,” “Cliff,” “Buddha,” “Mayor of Frederiksted,” “The Man Who Knows” and “Rumors Prediction and Warnings.”
He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Esther Lucille Christian.
He is survived by his children: Jody Donaldson, Wayne Christian, Cleone A. Christian, Christina A. Christian-McFarlande, Karen P. Christian, Clive A. Christian, Carol A. Christian, Chayne Christian, Carlos A. Christian and Ruth Melendez; and grandchildren: Raheem and Sharika Donaldson, Tanya Christian-Finley, Antonio A. Christian, Clarissa Christian, Genelle Durand, Kayra and K’maia Clouden, Quincy, Crystal, Oshay, Calani Christian, Alyssa T. There will be a conch shell procession prior to getting to the church that will begin at 8:45 a.m. It will commence from his old snack bar down King Street and to St. Patrick’s Church. This will be led by Sen. Positive Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at St. Gerard’s Hall of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. and funeral at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Veterans section of Kingshill Cemetery. The funeral is entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home.
