The Charlotte Amalie High School Music Department invites the public to “An Evening of Ensembles,” its first music concert of the 2018-19 school year. It will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Ruth E. Thomas Auditorium.
The free concert will feature performances by the concert band, jazz ensemble, Ripples on the Lake, Swans on the Lake, the Symphonic Band, Mello-Hawks Steel Band and the Mighty Marching Hawks.
According to Music Department Chair Luben Daniel, this year’s “Evening of Ensembles” will also feature performances by small chamber ensembles of the larger bands, such as a flute trio, saxophone sextet, clarinet and brass ensembles, as well as a performance from the Advanced Placement (AP) Music Theory class and more.
