University of the Virgin Islands (8-12) Buccaneers will play their final home games of the season this weekend on St. Thomas. Grace Christian (17-8) will be traveling to St. Thomas for the Virgin Islands Classic on Feb. 1-2 (Friday and Saturday). Despite not being able to offer scholarships for their basketball players, Grace Christian is making up for that with a first-class traveling experience for their athletes. Game time is 7 p.m. both nights.
At its last outing, the University of the Virgin Islands lost to NAIA DII #19 Warner Royals, 84-81. Second half defense proved strong for the Royals holding the Buc’s to just 28 points.
UVI Buccaneers will be back on the road: at 5 p.m., Feb. 9, at Morris College and at 6 p.m., Feb. 10, at Voorhees
