Bridget Klein Wins at Off-Island Half-Marathon

Bridget Klein, Good Hope Country Day School track and field coach and the top female long-distance runner in the Virgin Islands, took first place for female runners in the Optim Orthopedic Skidaway Island Half-Marathon near Savanah, Ga., and an equally impressive fourth place overall with a time of 1:27.38. That was in a field of 419 male and female runners, according to a press release from the Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation.

Klein, who has became a mom to Michael in 2018, is progressing as a long-distance runner. She was a steeplechase competitor in college (an event not contested in the V.I. to date) and is a V.I. National Champion for 10K Road, half-marathon and 50 miles.
