ATF Posts $10,000 Reward Sign at Meada’s Plaza in Cruz Bay

A $10,000 reward sign is posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for arson at Meada’s Plaza.

Meada’s Plaza was set ablaze during the early morning hours of September 2 in the wake of a a reported rape on the island’s East End, which many dubbed a hate crime. The tensions resulted in a heated town meeting in Franklin A. Powerll, Sr. Park in Cruz Bay on August 30. Hours after the meeting, businessman Robert Sell’s Jeep was set afire and the next day his retail store Close Reach Imports was torched as well.

Fedreal agencies are the investigation into the reported rape and suspected arson.
