Alida Velez Corcino died in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, on Tuesday, March 3.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Antonio Velez and Teodosia Corcino Velez; and daughter, Xiara Alida Cruz Velez;
She is survived by her spouse, Jaime Lopez Rogers; brothers: Jaime Velez, Juan A. Velez, Angel M. Velez, Marcos Velez and Neflati Velez; sisters: Antonia Velez Morales and Migdalia Velez; sisters-in-law: Carmen N. Velez, Sarah C. Velez, Juana C. Velez, Lisa Velez, Olga Lopez, Neida Lopez and Miriam Lopez; and brothers-in-law: Andrez (Benny) Lupez, Pedro (Quintin) Lopez, Francisco (Paquito) Lopez, Ruben Lopez and Luis Alberto (Bertito) Lopez.
She is also survived by nieces: Omayra Velez Bray, Giselle Velez, Esmirna M. Wachowski, Sarah Angela Velez, Jewel Ceselia Velez, Angelica Rose Velez, Netanya Marie Velez and Rebecca Velez; nephews: Jaime Velez, Jr., Jose M. Morales Jr., Juan A. Velez Jr., Joseaun Marco Velez and Javier Velez; and great nieces: Yvonne Merie Velez, Zuri Noelia Velez, Eliana M. Wachowski, Joelysse Marie Morales, Xiara del Mar Morales, Jamila J. Velez, Jahshara Amoya Velez, Jovaly’s Alorroa C. Velez and Julissa Amada Velez.
Other survivors include great nephews: Omar Velez Graham, Josia Bray, Alex Hiram Velez, Alenjandro M. Negron, Antonio Gabriel Negron, Otani Mateo Velez, Jose Grabriel Morales, Jalan Antonio Matthews, Joviel Velez and Jael Foster Velez; special friends: Daisy Maldonado, Ernestine (Tina) Canada-Quinn, Myrna Hospedales, Johanna Brow, Lenore Thomas, Stanley Mandresh, Frank Bermudez and Pascuala Saldaña; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, March 16, at Hermanos Unidos en Cristo-Zion. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
