Alexa Putnam Benefits V.I.

Editor:

Last March Alexa Putnam heard about the Special Olympic Games to be held on St. Thomas and called to ask me about coming.  She stated that she would like to do a fund raiser for the benefit of Special Olympics VI.  And she did!

In June we received $1,041 from her through her coach and her father.

We were all so impressed with her gentle, caring demeanor at our games and yet what a vibrant, serious athlete who will be “another feather in the cap” of the Virgin Islands.

Her donation and now her plans to launch a new perfume named after her, “Alexa,” with some of the proceeds to benefit Special Olympics, we cannot say enough good things about her.

She was most concerned about Camp Shriver which begins on July 23 on St. Croix and on St. Thomas.
This is a two week day camp for some of our Special Olympians. It is a sports camp and free for our athletes but of course there are expenses and Alexa’s contribution will come in handy.

Please see that Alexa Putnam is recognized for this and for her terribly hard work to be one of the best in her sport.
We expect her limelight to benefit the Virgin Islands greatly.
