Fresh locally-grown and packaged items such as fruits, vegetables, nursery plants, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings, peppers sauce and fruit stews will be for sale.

The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture (VIDA), in collaboration with the St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture Fair Board along with community partners, has announce the 35th St. Thomas – St. John Agriculture and Food Fair. The annual two-day event will be held on from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Bordeaux Farmers Market, St. Thomas. Daily entrance admission for adults ages 13 and above is $3; admission for children ages 11 and under is $2.

Attendees can expect an experience that includes, but is not limited to, access of fresh locally-grown and packaged items such as fruits, vegetables, nursery plants, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings, peppers sauce and fruit stews. Additionally, there will be local arts and crafts, local culinary delights and more. Live entertainment, educational displays, livestock competition, student engagement award opportunities, workshops and youth activities are added features for this community event.

The theme is “AgriCULTURE is AgriFUTURE,” which creatively highlights the relevance of agriculture (locally and globally) as an essential part of human culture, with agriculture being the cornerstone of sustaining all life forms from the beginning of time leading into the future.
